The conference was organized by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM)  at held at one of their facilities in Kajang. Representatives from Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (particularly from their OSCC unit – One-Stop Crisis Centre), the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Women’s Aid Organization (WAO), and Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) was there to speak on various issues related to Domestic Violence.

A statistic provided by KL General Hospital cited an average of 40 women (wives)  and 3-5 men (husbands) coming in for injuries related to Domestic Violence per month.
