On 21 December 2021, AWAM began a flood relief donation drive. From 21 December to 29 December 2021, we have purchased basic necessities worth a total of RM10016.25, and donated them to Gurdwara Sahib Petaling Jaya, Hope City Church Kuala Lumpur, Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple and the Orang Asli community in Bukit Tadom, Selangor.

Among the basic necessities that we have purchased and donated included:

• • Toiletries – adult and baby diapers, menstrual pads, disposable female underwear, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, disposable bathing wipes
  • Cleaning products – Clorox, liquid detergent, mops, brooms, scouring pads, water dippers, trash bags
  • Food – baby and infant formula milk, dahl, curry powder, instant noodles, Milo, instant coffee, onions, cooking oil, eggs, sardines
  • Medications/Pharmaceutical products – alcohol swabs, COVID-19 self-test kits, calamine lotion, tiger balm, Panadol, plasters, Axe brand universal oil (minyak kapak)
  • Others – candles, mosquito coils, batteries

On 21 December 2021, some of AWAM’s staff also volunteered with food and aid pack preparation at Gurdwara Sahib Petaling Jaya.
