Tips On How To Make a Police Report
TIP: You can expedite the process by preparing a draft report beforehand. Only Malay or English reports are accepted.
It is important to ensure that the report covers the following fundamental questions:
- When did the incident occur?
- Where did the incident occur?
- Who was involved in the incident?
- Why is the report being lodged?
- Why is the report being lodged?
- Any physical, psychological or emotional impact(s)?
State your intention(s) of lodging the report as either a case report or action report.
Case Report: Filed when you do not intend to press any charges and only intend for your case to be documented.
Action Report: Filed when you seek for further action to be taken.
