Dr Subatra Jayaraj is a medical doctor with experience in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in the Ministry of Health Malaysia. She has a Masters in International Development Studies, with her research focusing on Barriers to Maternal and Child Healthcare Access in migrant populations. She currently runs a primary care women’s clinic focusing on Sexual & Reproductive Health in Petaling Jaya.
She has worked at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific based in Bangkok, where she focused on the 20-year review of the ICPD Programme of Action. She has also managed the Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme in Crisis Situations in the South East Asian and Pacific regions. She is Vice President of AWAM and Hon Secretary of the Reproductive Rights Advocacy Alliance Malaysia.
