Para-counsellor Exposure Trips

Para-counsellors with AWAM are brought to places such as shelter homes (e.g. Tiratana, Rumah Hope, WAO Shelter), the Bukit Aman police station, hospitals and courts to expose them to areas where we extend our support and services.

This also equips them with more referral contacts for clients, and to build-up rapport with other services providers.

Educational Trip for Domestic Violence Survivors

This is a yearly programme with the objective of empowering domestic violence survivors and children.

In the past, weekend trips have been organised to destinations such as Port Dickson and Sepang. These have enabled women survivors to share, support and spend time with their children, while allowing AWAM to provide relevant perspectives to assist them to deal with the effect of family violence in their lives.
